Pediatric radiology is a subspecialty of radiology involving the imaging of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Comprehensive Imaging with Safer Doses for Kids

By using the latest technology and practices, Children’s Hospital at Erlanger offers comprehensive imaging services while delivering the lowest radiation doses in the region. This is important because sensitivity to radiation is highest earlier in life. But gentler technology is only part of the Children’s at Erlanger difference. Our family-friendly team of fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists is here to guide you every step of the way.

Cutting Edge Imaging Services

  • Digital radiology
  • State-of-the-art ultrasound
  • Low-dose 64-slice CT (computed tomography)
  • MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
  • PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography)

Advanced, But Gentle Technology

  • Lowest Doses in the Region – We offer the region’s only imaging facility using ASIR (Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reduction) software, lowering each dose by 45 percent or greater.
  • Reduced Need for Anesthesia – Our CT scanner acquires 160 images per second, reducing the need for anesthesia by 90 percent.
