Biography

Dr. Miller has lived in the state of Tennessee for a number of years. He graduated high school from Memphis University School in Memphis prior to attending Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia where he studied biology. After completing studies at Oglethorpe, Dr. Miller studied medicine in Macon, Georgia at Mercer University School of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. Miller participated in research into hormonal effects on dopamine transporters in the brain in the neuroscience lab of Dr. Tina Thompson. After medical school Dr. Miller received pediatric training at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He continued his training in the neurology department at Baptist Medical Center (formerly Bowman Gray) until completing his residency training in pediatric neurology. Dr. Miller received board certification in the fall of 2009, and he has been a faculty member of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine at the Chattanooga branch since leaving residency. Dr. Miller has a special interest in movement disorders associated with cerebral palsy. His practice also includes the evaluation and care of children suffering from epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, headaches, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.
