Biography

Lea Kristin Parsley, MD, returns to Chattanooga after spending time as Medical Director of Tallahassee Memorial Clinical Genetics Center and Assistant Professor/Pediatric Clerkship Director at Florida State University College of Medicine. She completed a clinical genetics and metabolism fellowship at Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Earlier, Dr. Parsley was a National Public Health Scholar in Albany, Georgia and then moved to Chattanooga to practice at Pediatric Diagnostic Associates.  She attended the University of South Alabama for her undergraduate education and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Parsley previously served as a clinical research consultant for the National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities/CDC and currently serves on the National Editorial Board for PREP SA Journals for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Parsley and her husband are the parents of seven children. She enjoys running, Pilates, and keeping up with her busy family.
